Z8 is a relay for the control of the level of conductive liquids, ideal for wells, tanks, reservoirs (even under pressure)… including applications with rainwater. It uses electrodes called “probes,” powered at low voltage, which, upon contact with the liquid, allow the detection of current passage and activate the relay. All with very rapid response times. The solution makes it possible to monitor the level in two ways: with two probes for a single level (MAX and COM) or with three probes for a range between a minimum and a maximum (MIN, MAX, and COM).
Z8 is ideal for narrow and deep spaces since the probes do not require mechanical movements, and the cables for the probes have low load losses even at long distances. In addition, the probes are appropriately insensitive to the typical humidity of wells and tanks. Z8 has a compact design for easy installation even in limited spaces (79x35x88 mm – 2 DIN modules) and is available in different sensitivities (NS, AS, SR) and in different power supply voltages such as 24/117/230Vac.
Z8 differs from Z11 in that it manages only one voltage, as well as the type of compatible base.
